Pokémon
holiday party

NOVA Light Labs delivered projection mapping, an immersive room, and interactive installations across the Seattle Convention Center for the Pokémon holiday party.

SE Productions wanted a venue this large to feel intentional. No bare hallways. No empty rooms. The Pokémon holiday party would fill a brand new convention center in December 2024, and every space on the floor needed to belong to the same night.

NOVA delivered a connected set of activations on a single floor. Mountains drifted above the main bar, a jungle grew inside a sound bath room, and a karaoke stage hung behind a wall of projected scrim. Interactive light art filled the gaps between them. A legendary night, tied together end to end.

An immersive sound bath room, a holographic karaoke stage, and interactive art turned a convention floor into one continuous experience.

The sound bath room was the draw. Guests stepped out of the party and into a jungle, canopy overhead, fern light moving across every wall and the ceiling. They lay down on the floor while singing bowls and gongs rang through the room.

Across the floor, the karaoke stage glowed through a wall of transparent scrim. The projection floated in the air like a hologram, and the glass walls around it caught every color and threw it back, so the stage was visible from deep inside the venue.

In between, guests played a light up piano, sculpted landscapes in the Sandbox of Life, and explored Microscopia and Floragraph. Every room had a reason to walk in.
